Bring your appetites!

President's Message

Hi all,

Hope you are all well and transitioning back into a more normalized routine.

Great news for the club, our first in person meeting since last year went great and was well attended. As a result of the comfort level we unanimously decided to hold our Holiday party this coming month!
As you know this is our biggest event of the year and all are welcome to join in the fun. We will have tobacco, pipe and smoking accessories raffles. Please bring extra cash as you will not want to miss out on a chance to win.
Also if you would like to participate in the Yankee Swap, please bring a wrapped tin or package of unopened tobacco.
A Chinese buffet will be provided by the club. Please reply to the reminder email you received to make your reservation ASAP so we know how much food to order.
Can’t wait to see you all on Tuesday!

Since COVID-19 deprived us of our favorite event of the year and last month's meeting was such a success, we decided to have our holiday party in June and to welcome everyone back with a bang! As has been the custom for the last few year we will start with a Chinese feast with food from Chinatown.  We'll also have the wild and crazy Yankee Swap, all you need to participate is a gift-wrapped sealed tin.  We'll go over the rules at the meeting, but it will be fun for all.

Next.  Every 2020 or 2021 paid member gets to select a free tin of tobacco from an assortment of forty different blends.  There is a nice selection to choose from and I'm sure there are one or two you will like. Be sure to review the list and consider your first, second, and even your third choices.

Finally, we'll have our annual pipe raffle.  Tickets will be $10 each or a maximum of $25 for three (to keep it fair).  We have some fantastic pipes this year Ehrlich, Ardor & Peterson, to name a few.  See image for the complete group.)!  As a final note, none of this could happen without your continued support of our monthly tin raffles, as well as your generous prize donations.

Thanks to you all - Tom

Riverville Murder - Chapter 24 & 25

“Ok, Ok, calm down. So, you did your best. Now, we have to cool it for a while. Later, we’ll put three or four on Wadsworth. With him gone, the whole thing might cool off and be forgotten. Then we can start rebuilding the organization.

“Where do you expect to find the people? There is me, and the other two lieutenants. The rest, of any value, are in jail, and will be for some time to come if the Feds get ahold of them. The rest are punks and have probably scattered anyway.”

“You will have to recruit locally first, and then try New York and Rhode Island. I’m not going to be able to help much. I’m sticking my neck out as it is, right now. I want to hand this job off to someone and get back in the shadows.” Callan responded with finality in his voice.
